Mission Statement
To build team skills for individuals in personal and professional relationships by using horses to improve relationship skills. Skills include listening, non verbal communication, empathy, creative problem solving, leadership respect and establishing trust. Support in recovering from heart ache and gaining insight through metaphorical activities that improve cooperation and collaboration.
Secondary to this, we model a team that works together to develop innovative solutions and to increase human capacity to care for the planet and its animal partners. We seek to model a spiritually vibrant team that is open to practical application of wellness, and encouraging awareness of our interconnectedness. We use primarily horses and small dogs with mutual respect to the needs of both all. We foster advocacy for the dependents in our lives, and leadership skills for the care givers. We want to make horse ownership more available by sharing purchase and expenses of horse ownership and horsemanship skills. We raise and train a small number of dogs under 12 pounds, to offer to residents of apartments as companions. Our plans are to become more green by including wind and solar energy and provision of compost for sale to family gardens.
Physical Description
Ten acres on two parcels of flat irrigated land situated mid way between Corning and Red Bluff. We have an old large barn recently restored, three arenas and a round pen. There are two older homes on the smaller parcel at 22251 and 22253 Chard Ave and a two year old large manufactured home on the larger 7 acre parcel at 9460 Lawson Ct. where the horses enjoy 5 + acres of pasture. We have free range chickens for egg production, and a small garden and orchard.
